It is widely used both on and offshore. The robust construction and effective weather sealing provide excellent protection to vital fire fighting equipment (IP56). These fire hydrant cabinets are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in hot climates. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.
The door can be specified with left or right hinging and features a nylon rod handle to pull the door open to guarantee fast access in an emergency even when wearing gloves. The 316 Stainless steel hinges are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers rather than rivets.
