The SOS4 Lifebuoy housing can store 30″ (762mm) Lifebuoy and a 30m throwing line. It can be wall, railing or post mounted to suit almost any waterside location. The cabinets are manufactured using UV resistant polyethylene to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. The open fronted design features two small internal hooks which hold the lifebuoy in place but also make it very easy to remove in an emergency. For enhanced weather protection there is a detachable front cover which is an optional extra.
For mounting the SOS4 no special fittings are required for walls but for mounting there are optional 316 Stainless steel brackets. For pole mounting there is a choice of a single galvanised post with or without a base plate. As an alternative to the galvanised post, it is also possible to use the optional GRP post. These can be fitted with a GRP foot for mounting to a hard surface or without a foot into fresh ground.
